Have you ever heard of the website, Fabrique? I bet you haven’t and I think you are missing out! Fabrique is a really cool website that features designers from ALL over the world - most of whom you’ve never even heard of! We’re talkin’ high end fashion for great (not cheap) prices. The designs are SO unique. So much so that you won’t see your friend walking around in the same thing. It’s NOT the same ole, same ole. Fun fact - there is a Vera Wang x Fabrique line - there’s a name you know for SURE!
What is Fabrique?
Fabrique is a designer-collective brand website. It works with designers from around the world to create exclusive pieces for its collections. These are REALLLLLY unique pieces that are curated just for Fabrique.
You can browse its designer directory, and read about the designer and their inspo for their collection - which is really cool.
For example, the pieces below connect Katiuscia Valente, listed in Rome, with Romy Van Zuylen in Paris and Amélie Katebi in Stockholm. Those are names I’ve never heard of and I’m obsessed with their creations. They’re all gonna be famous one day, I promise.
Start with one interesting piece
Look for a piece that works with clothes you already have in your closet.. A blouse with an unusual neckline (below) can change the feel of simple jeans or pants.. A barrel leg jean can give one of your old faithful tops a whole new elevated look.
Then ask yourself the most important question: Where Are You Going In That? HA! Dinner with friends? A work lunch? A daytime celebration? You might not even be going ANYWHERE but you’ll be wearing something special.
Seven pieces to explore
Here are seven examples of things I chose because they’re wearable, stylish and DIFFERENT.
1. Charlotte Shimmer Ruched Ruffle Blouse
The ruffled neckline and subtle shimmer give this white blouse a much dressier feel than a basic button-down. Katiuscia Valente is the designer and describes the fabric as sheer, although I really don’t find that it is. It’s really an elevated button down that can be worn (like I did) with barrel leg jeans and a heel for dinner or with a skirt or cool pants for the office. It’s SUPER versatile. Even with this cool skirt!

2. Lark Contrast Stitch Barrel-Leg Jeans
Yes, we’re back to the barrel leg jeans. What I LOVE about these is the DARK WASH! It makes them a bit more elevated and suitable for a night out. The contrast stitching follows the curved shape of these barrel-leg jeans by ( Romy Van Zuylen) making them SUPER flattering. Try a slim-fitting top or a top you can tuck in to see your waist.
3. Marora Wrap-Look Cinched Blazer
This brown blazer by Valeska Valentina Jasso Collado (that’s a long name) has a collarless neckline (love for a change) and it ties at the waist - flattering! Those details give you something different from the usual straight-cut blazer. You don’t need anything fancy underneath because you’re wearing it tied so it’s almost like a top vs a jacket. I’d just wear a hidden slim fit shirt with jeans, a cool bag and heels.
4. Evelyn Buckled Oversized Shirt
Michele Romano’s grey shirt combines an oversized shape with cool metal buttons and a curved hem - totally different. When I opened the box, I thought, “no way am I wearing this”. Once I tried it on - I got it. It’s an elevated button-down you can wear buttoned or open with a tank underneath. Try it with slim pants if you’re untucking or a high waisted pair of jeans and tuck it in.
5. Fern Plaid Scarf-Tie Blouse
The black-and-white check and awesome funnel neckline (with neck tie) give Amélie Katebi’s blouse a really cool look. You don’t need much else with this because it’s such a standout. Maybe try with jeans (like the barrels), black pants or even black jeans. It would be REALLY cool with a slim black skirt for work. The designer shows it with a MATCHING SKIRT which is SO cool. With that much happening at the neckline - skip the necklace. Just wear a simple pair of earrings.
6. Teana V-Neck Floral Dress
This dress by Marco Marrone has a wrap V-neck and midlength bubble sleeves. It’s a bit of a year-round dress because the dark color makes it great in Fall and Winter but the light fabric makes it great in Spring and Summer. I hate to say it, but it’s a PERFECT funeral dress. I’d wear it with a strappy sandal in summer and a black patent pump in cooler weather. I’d also add this bag because of its simple yet chic style. No fancy jewelry necessary.
7. Judy Ruffle-Trim Puff-Sleeve Shirt
This shirt ended up being SUCH a winner. I LOVE the fabric because it’s not stiff - it’s really soft and kinda flowy. Giuseppe Fanelli gives the denim-shirt idea a softer look with the puff sleeves and ruffle trim. I haven’t seen anything like it before. I wore it with white jeans and white shorts. You could totally wear it with a darker wash of jeans too! Keep everything simple when you style this because it really stands out on itss own.
Take a look around
Start by choosing a piece that catches your eye, and then take a minute to read about the designer. They have all worked for really great fashion houses all over the world. I’m telling you these pieces are HIGH designer by some talented folks. You’re not going to have to spend THOUSANDS on an item to get that fancy feel. You’re gonna LOVE the website. Pull out a cup of coffee and dig in!
One interesting piece, paired with what you already love wearing, can be plenty.
