Oh hi, gals! (Waving emoji….I love the waving emoji)
Soooo…I’ve been a little behind on my posts because I took a little early spring “break” the last several days. We headed to our brother-in-law’s BIG b-day in Florida…..and then to the islands for a little R&R. It was SO nice to get away from the snow. I can’t say the weather was PERFECT, but that really didn’t matter. We had a BLAST…..and mama feels pretty refreshed ;0
Anyhoo, I have done just a TINY bit of spring shopping so far this year and thought I’d share some of my finds. Take a looker!
A few peeps have asked me to do specific posts – travel wear, beach cover-ups and denim. I’m getting to them…slowly but surely. Below are the things I wore traveling – easy, comfortable and went really nicely with my SPRAY tan 😉 .
You all know I LOVE the puff sleeve and in this pink color with the dark blue denim – it was a YES. I paired with my slip on white sneakers that I live in in the summer. I did post the Rothy’s that people seem to adore. I may try a pair.
Traveling in a little dress is easy because as soon as you step off the plane, you’re ready for the warm weather. Although, I was glad I had the pants and long sleeves for the ride home because….it was 24 degrees when we landed. UGH.
Now, this one is kinda funny. I bought this jumpsuit at Abercrombie – yes, you read that right – Abercrombie. My girls don’t even shop there anymore! But remember, Mallory (me) likes to wander in EVERY store in the mall. I also go up and down every aisle in the grocery store – drives Bing NUTS. I couldn’t decide on this jumpsuit in the green or the black. I ended up in the black, but I kinda want the green because it will be so cute in the spring and the fall, right? I wore it to the party and it was SO cute. I felt dressed up but REALLLLY comfortable. The best part is that I didn’t have saggy butt in this like other jumpsuits. It’s a great fit. I paired it with my Manolos, but you could also go for the other pair – that price is RIGHT.
There is not a SNOWBALL’S chance in HELL that I’m ever going to post a picture of myself in a bathing suit. Well, I never say never, but it wasn’t happening this weekend. I did do some bathing suit shopping because I rarely buy new ones. I SHOULD refresh suits, but I don’t because I can’t stand the process. This time, I bought out the store, brought it all home and returned what looked TERRIBLE. It was nice to do the trying-on in the comfort of my own mirror.
Now, when I make these little boards, sometimes it doesn’t come out perfectly. In this case, I couldn’t clip the photos to look all pretty, but you’ll get the idea.
Let me start by saying the Tory Burch sandals are hands down the best flat sandal out there. I don’t even LIKE flat sandals, but I love these. They are REALLLY comfortable – worth the price. The black cover-up is AMAZING and it comes in white, which I may have to get. The bikini bottoms are PERFECT for my…..age. They’re not too skimpy and not that weird full size look that is so “IN” for the teenagers and supermodels. It’s somewhere in the middle and it covers all the right places. The one piece, is amazing. My friend turned me on to it and I love it. The lady in the store refers to it as a “mono-kini”. I take offense to that because the only MONO-KINI I have EVER worn was in 1989 in South Padre Island and that one was FLORESCENT.
Behind door number 2! The second bathing suit look of the season. This blue is really pretty and the fit is not too skimpy. As for a cover-up,I happen to love wearing a button down shirt because it covers my chest, which is getting spotty… and red (I know, KB, I know….). I’m dreaming of the pink sandals….and I love the pink glasses 🙂
Ok, last but not least. I found this dress at EXPRESS – yesssss I did! It’s SO cute. I wore the little sleeves on my shoulders, not hanging off. It looked better that way on me, but you could wear it either way. Had a discussion with a pal that denim jackets are still a go-to, but you know…the puff sleeve really makes it. (I don’t know why the one jacket looks weird, but click on it and it’s cute) Doing a little high/low here with shoes, bags and earrings. I’d wear ANY and all of it!
There you have it folks! I’m pooped and I have to call it a night. Stay tuned for some cute schtuff…..
in the meantime, take advantage of the pain I put myself through bathing suit shopping and buy it all !
