Years ago…I’m talking 15 years ago….I had a friend who took me shopping for something she said I reallllly needed – LOUNGEWEAR! She said it’s super important because if you are ever photographed on Christmas morning in some HORRIBLE outfit, you’ll be so pissed years later when you see a picture of yourself. HA! She was right! Her other thought was that NO HUSBAND wants to come home and see his wife in baggy, ugly sweats that are just plain unattractive. Oddly enough, I heard the SAME thought on the Goop Beauty Closet Podcast just this afternoon! Some expert in LOVE made the same point. Kinda timely given I was writing this post.

Anyhoo, my pal made me go shopping for stuff that would not be sexy around the kids, but that would not be a HUSBAND REPELLER at 6pm in the evening. Since that day, I have ALWAYS tried to look pulled together while being comfy at the same time. I gotta say, it makes a difference. Don’t say I didn’t warn you….spruce it up, ladies!

Take a looker to see what I’m talking about. Oh, and wear perfume for the love of GOD!

Trust the Mother – you’ll be glad you did.

xoxo

Ok, now listen….there are THOUSANDS of combos for a cutelounge wear look. I started getting DIZZY just searching! I happen to love anything by SUNDRY. I have a few pairs of their sweats. They are kinda thin, so they don’t make you feel like a house. I think it’s kinda cute to put on the matching sweatshirt, but you could really do anything on top….as long as it’s not ten sizes too big. The top right camo hoodie is REALLLLLY cute in person. I love it with these pink sweats.

I’m calling this look The Silver Platter outfit. Can anyone recall that name and why I’m saying it? You’ll have to google the Brady Bunch episode. That’s my hint. But, I really don’t care. I think it’s sporty and cute at the same time.

Ok, now don’t have a cow here. I am posting this bra because I think it’s cute with the pants and maybe a cardigan or the robe. I just like it and it looks cozy. And, as we all know, I love leopard. So, there.

Now……REALLY don’t have a cow here. I happen to LOVE to wear a satin (I gotta hit the jackpot for silk) nightgown with a LONG velvet robe. It’s COMFY and slimming and sometimes I get in it at about 6:45 like I did tonight. I ate pizza in my fancy nighty and robe and I’m sitting here typing in it as we speak. Your husband will LOVE me if you get something like this (mine is navy blue btw.) I can’t wait to see how many of you comment. I can hear it now, “Do you REALLLLY wear that nighty and robe?” I’m waiting…..
