I have a friend who SWEARS by Rent the Runway. She has worn some of the greatest dresses for a FRACTION of the retail value!
Here’s how it works…..
You can do a one-time rental or, you can get a membership that allows you to get a certain number of items a month to try/wear. Either option is great! Choose 4 items, wear them for as long as you’d like (with a membership) and then you just send them back and get something else! It’s that easy and makes great sense!
To me, this is the perfect answer to the gal who:
1) Has an event to attend and needs something special.
2) Doesn’t like to wear the same thing twice.
3) Doesn’t have a big budget, but wants to wear the BEST.
I can tell you, there have been times when I should have done this. I’m the one who doesn’t (really didn’t in my younger years) like to wear the same thing twice. I know, I know…that’s seems silly, but when you are with the same people all the time, (like I was in my 30’s), I wanted to have something different to wear every time I went out!
Thank GOD I’ve “grown up” since then! Now, I could care LESS how many times I wear something. I’m buying fewer, better things that I LOVE and I don’t care who has seen me wear it twice – whew.
So, if you fall in to the any of the above categories….maybe give RTR a whirl!
