I wonder what it would have been like to live in the “olden” days….it seems so much simpler. People must have really ENJOYED life because they didn’t have a phone or a computer shoved in their face….sigh.
Anyhoo, I saw this photo and it made me think about what a great gift a pair of roller skates would be! How fun to introduce a younger person to the fun of a “Friday Night at the Roller Rink”.
I also couldn’t help but share this outfit by Tory Burch – it’s SO Sgt. Peppers! I LOVE the leather jacket and I’m not a leather jacket wearer.
Just finished the book “The Company I Keep” by Leonard Lauder. He talks about his mother, Estee and how she made women look and feel their best with just a lipstick in the early days of the depression. He also talks about “Youth Dew” which was their first fragrance. I bet if you close your eyes, you can smell it because it was ABSOLUTELY on your mother’s vanity. Memories……
Lastly, I was at a client’s house and he found this AMAZING toaster by Dolce & Gabbana. It’s SO retro and it looked BEAUTIFUL on his countertop. SO very cool!
Trust the Mother….you’ll be glad you did!
xoxo
