Growing up in Winnetka, IL, I didn’t even know what a ranch WAS!!!!!! Well, maybe I KINDA saw a ranch on Friday nights watching Dynasty, with my sister Julie on her tiny little TV.….but that was about IT.
I recently met a bride-to-be and I got to go into her closet and see a weekend’s worth of clothes that she was planning for her big weekend…..on a RANCH. I was BLOWN AWAY at how COOL that whole idea is! How amazing to “theme” dress around your wedding weekend. I never dreamed of ANYTHING like that as a bride because that just wasn’t part of my world! Now that I actually live in a state where , for many people, that is the norm…well, it’s really cool.
The first outfit is something she’s going to wear to a daytime event. I nearly DIED when I saw this jumpsuit by MOTHER (btw, the photo on the Mother website does NOT do this justice) because it looked like a MILLION BUCKS on her. A ranch is about the only place you would actually WEAR this, but let me tell you…the sexy-ranch-girl-look was SPOT ON. I have ONE FRIEND (she knows who she is) who ABSOLUTELY needs this to wear to HER ranch spot ……100%.
The other outfit ideas are for any of you who might get INVITED to a ranch wedding OR who may go to a dude ranch (best family vacation EVER!). It’s so COOL that there is actually a “look” you need to/want to sport at a ranch. Man, I just want to invite myself to this wedding so I can wear every damn outfit ! HA!
Trust the Mother (if you go to a ranch)….you’ll be glad you did!
