Cover Up! – Summer’s Here!!

Hi Y’all!

Summer is just about here! I know it is here in Boulder – it’s been 90 degrees! We went from a snowy Easter to a HOT, HOT Spring…..whatevs.

Ok, I have been known to sit in the sun – no matter the temperature. I happen to like to have a little bronze color – esp on my LEGS! I think I get this from my mom. She’s out there in the sun for 30 minutes a day and she looks pretty darn great……so I’m going with it! 😉 My derm wants to kill me, but I DO wear my sunscreen, so I’m not a total loss.

One thing that has KILLED me is the YEARS of suntanning my CHEST. Anytime my chest is hot (not even in the sun), you can see a tank top mark and it drives me NUTS!!!!!!!! So, I’m REALLY careful about that area. I do have two favorite things that have saved me. A workout shirt that has SPF and a little bandana that is also SPF. They both cover my chest and with a little sunscreen, I feel pretty protected.

Anyhoo, I’ve been on the hunt for some CUTE SPF-wear. I’ve had some really good luck with Coolibar, Cabanalife, Lilly Pulitzer and Athleta. Check out the sites! I’ve picked out my favs below and I’m going to add them to my collection. ANYTHING to keep me from getting more of those AWFUL spots on my chest ;0

I do not go ANYWHERE near a pool, a body of water, or a boat without this bandana thing. It is SPF 50 and I use it to over my chest. I used to use a towel or a shirt and that would make me overheat! This BANDANA is PERFECT.

Love this because the back is FLAT so I can lay back and not have it get all smooshed! HAT

Ok, Lilly Pulitzer may be pretttty preppy….but hey……all of these pieces have SPF!!!!! I mean, com on, those little dresses and the zip tops are dang cute! Preppy vs Wrinkles?
